And what comes with game day? A tasty bowl of tortilla chips and nacho cheese!
I’m not talking about the highly processed cheese that comes in a can (although there’s no shame in indulging once in a while š).
I’m talking about nacho “cheese” sauce made with real + nutritious ingredients.
Recently I brought this savory delight to a friend’s house for happy hour and was immediately asked for the recipe – no one could believe it was plant-based and packed with nutrition.
Not to mention, even my husband likes this nacho “cheese” – and he’s strictly a meat + potatoes kind of guy š
Iām excited to introduce you to:
š Cauliflower Nacho “Cheese” Sauce
Ingredients:
1/2 of a medium cauliflower
2 tablespoons of hot sauce; our local favorite is Franks Red Hot
3 tablespoons of nutritional yeast
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1/4 cup raw cashews
1/2 cup of water
Instructions:
Chop cauliflower and roast at 375 degrees for 20 minutes
Blend all ingredients until smooth
It’s super easy to make, and no one will ever guess that cauliflower is the secret ingredient!
