Today I’m joined by two of my faves: Jenny Blake and Sarah Young, for a conversation about signs, serendipity, and what it really takes to bring something from the heart into the world.
We talk about the nudges that show up in business that you can’t quite explain, but can’t ignore either.
Jenny shares how losing 80% of her corporate revenue in two weeks became the pivot that led her to Free Time. Sarah talks about how her biggest opportunities always seem to land when she steps away and sits in the sunshine.
We also get real about the vulnerability of creating something from the heart and about all the feelings that come with sharing it in the world.
Lastly, we talk about what happens when you invest in yourself, find the right creative community, and finally give your ideas the room they need to grow.
Jenny and Sarah have taught me so much about trusting those inner nudges, and I think this episode will do the same for you.
+ The signs are there, you just have to pause and notice.
Whether it’s a word on a tray at Barnes & Noble or a client email that lands the moment you sit still, serendipity shows up when you’re paying attention. Set a clear intention, ask for a sign (you can be specific!), and trust that your intuition will do the rest. It’s a muscle…the more you use it, the stronger it gets.
+ Vulnerability is a thing.
Every single one of us felt the vulnerability hangover when releasing our work in the world. That discomfort doesn’t mean you’re doing something wrong. It means you’re creating something real. Anchor back to your why, focus on the people it’s truly for, and keep going.
+ The right community changes what you believe is possible.
Not just any community…an intentional one. When you invest in yourself and surround yourself with the right people in the right container, ideas become real things in the world. The In Season planner and Brave Women at Work: Lessons in Letting Go book chapter both came out of a single experience at Business Besties Brunch 💛
Jenny and Sarah are two of my favorite humans, and this conversation was such a joy. Hope you love it as much as I do.
