When building your job search plan, consider including follow-up as a critical piece of your strategy. This will help you stay top of mind and reiterate your interest in the job/company/team.
FIVE scenarios to consider sending a follow-up email:
General guidelines for the timing of follow-up:
+Within 24 hours
+Again in a week
+Final outreach 2, 3, or 4 weeks later (depending on your situation).
Here are a few more tips:
+Keep it short and sharp—express gratitude and invite a continued conversation.
+Remember to make your outreach feel highly personalized and as easy as possible for the reader to respond to you—this will increase your response rate.
