APPLE PODCAST | SPOTIFY | ALL OTHER PLATFORMS
Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about how creativity and courage manifest in our careers and how often we forget that we’re all creative beings at heart.
In this episode, I share stories, reflections, and science-backed insights to help you reconnect with your creative spark—whether you consider yourself a “creative person” or not.
Specifically, we’ll discuss how creativity and courage came together when I contributed my chapter to Brave Women at Work, how I grew up surrounded by creativity, and why even a small creative outlet can have a huge impact on your work, well-being, and sense of purpose.
Creativity isn’t reserved for artists—it’s for anyone who wants to feel more alive in their day-to-day life. It’s in how we solve problems, express ourselves, and even how we dream up new ideas
If you’ve been feeling stuck, stifled, or disconnected from joy, this conversation is your invitation to play, experiment, and gently explore what creativity looks like for you, right now, in this season.
1. Creativity takes courage—and it’s okay to feel vulnerable.
Putting yourself out there creatively—whether it’s writing, sharing an idea at work, or starting something new—can feel scary. That’s normal. But it’s also a powerful act of self-trust. The world needs your unique perspective, and creativity is often the bridge between your inner truth and outer expression.
2. You don’t have to be “artistic” to be creative.
Creativity lives in how you think, how you solve problems, how you nurture your relationships, and how you move through the world. You can practice creativity in a spreadsheet, a garden, a conversation, or a moment of mindfulness. It’s not about making perfect things—it’s about staying connected to your ideas and your joy.
3. Creative expression can reignite your career path.
So many people I work with feel stuck because they’ve buried their creative instincts under titles, to-do lists, or expectations. However, new insights and possibilities emerge once they start painting again, taking improv classes, or journaling regularly. Your creative outlet could be the key to your next career move—or simply to feeling more like yourself again.
Gentle Invitation:
+ Revisit something that made you feel alive as a child
+ Try one new creative outlet this month—just for fun
+ Choose curiosity over self-judgment
+ Let creativity lead the way, and notice what opens up
