Over the years, I’ve realized something: There are two types of people—those who worry about change and those who are inspired by it.
Personally, I never tire of the energy that comes with fresh starts and new beginnings. For me, the change of any of the seasons marks a natural time to embrace new beginnings—but this is never more true than in the fall, with all its back-to-school energy!
Of course, it’s also no coincidence that Season 6 of the Flourish Careers Podcast launched today around the fall equinox—the most natural of new beginnings.
But my love of beginnings doesn’t end with the seasons. I view the dawn of each new day and the start of each new week as countless opportunities for fresh starts.
I’ve always felt something inherently special and motivating about turning over a fresh page, and…science agrees with me! It’s a psychological phenomenon known as the fresh start effect, and ALL of the resources in this email are curated specifically to help you embrace its power.
But do you want to know the thing I love MOST about fresh starts?
A fresh start can be yours at any time.
The fresh start effect can be triggered by any new beginning in your life: the beginning of autumn, after a holiday, on a milestone birthday, or any old Monday. Or, in my case, the start of a new podcast season!
If you want to make a change, I encourage you to embrace the fresh start effect and allow September to serve as your natural reset.
SO MANY people come to me wanting to make a change around milestone birthdays. It’s as though there’s something inherently motivating about entering a new season of life—and it turns out there is!
Researchers call this psychological phenomenon the fresh start effect, and the good news is that you can harness its power at any new beginning in your life. Be sure to check out how to do just that on the blog.
Good news! It’s now easier than ever to get the support you need for your fresh start or unique HEART-based career planning.
Whether you’ve avoided traditional coaching because of an overwhelming calendar and scheduling constraints—or the pressure of participating in live calls—I’ve found a solution for you!
Now, you can get a burst of inspiration throughout the rest of the year on your own time.
